Chris Culliver: 'Seeing Marcus Lattimore practice is uplifting'

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Cullivers says that it has been "uplifting" to see rookie running back Marcus Lattimore practise for the first time.

Chris Culliver has said that seeing Marcus Lattimore practise with the San Francisco 49ers for the first time was "uplifting".

The rookie running back, who was teammates with Culliver in college, tore all three ligaments in his right knee and dislocated his kneecap last October, having missed the end of the previous college season while recovering from an ACL tear.

The cornerback, who tore his ACL during training camp, told the team's website: "It's uplifting to see him go out there and do his thing, get to practise and get back into things.

"Latt is always a good spirit type of guy. We're next to each other, we talk about a lot. It's definitely a good thing to see him prevail from the injury he had.

"He works hard. Every day he comes in here, he doesn't say much and he works hard. He's working to get better and that's what he's focusing on."

Despite his injuries, Lattimore scored 41 touchdowns during his three-season college career with the South Carolina Gamecocks.
