San Francisco 49ers to seek LaMichael James trade?

San Francisco 49ers running back LaMichael James could leave the team in an off-season trade, according to a report.

The San Francisco 49ers will reportedly consider looking to offload LaMichael James in a trade this off-season.

The running back was rarely used on offense during his second year in the NFL, featuring behind Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter on the team's depth chart.

CSN Bay Area reports that Marcus Lattimore's recovery from a serious knee injury sustained in college could leave the James on the trade block.

The 24-year-old, who was the team's main punt and kickoff returner in 2013, was a second-round pick in the 2012 Draft.
