Jim Harbaugh expects midseason return for NaVorro Bowman

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh believes that linebacker NaVorro Bowman will return from a double knee ligament tear midway through the 2014 NFL season.

Jim Harbaugh has revealed that he expects NaVorro Bowman to return from his knee injury midway through the 2014 NFL season.

The San Francisco 49ers linebacker sustained an ACL and MCL tear during the NFC championship game defeat to the Seattle Seahawks last month.

The head coach told reporters: "Realistically, halfway through the season, something like that would be more realistic. But I never underestimate NaVorro Bowman."

Bowman made 145 tackles, five sacks, four forced fumbles and two interceptions during the 2013 season.
