Report: Ben Tate visits Pittsburgh Steelers

Running back Ben Tate reportedly visits the Pittsburgh Steelers with a view to signing with them to cover the loss of Le'Veon Bell.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly interested in signing running back Ben Tate after Le'Veon Bell suffered an injury.

The Steelers doubt that Bell will make an appearance on Saturday against the Baltimore Ravens, which means that they are looking for cover.

The 22-year-old's status remains uncertain but an MRI scan on Tuesday did not reveal any ligament damage to his knee.

Bell left Sunday night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a hyper-extended knee after taking a direct hit on his right knee from Bengals safety Reggie Nelson.

In 11 games this season, Tate has 119 attempts for 371 yards and four touchdowns and he will likely now enter in a rotation with rookies Dri Archer and Josh Harris.
