DeMarco Murray to meet with Philadelphia Eagles

DeMarco Murray expects to meet with Philadelphia Eagles officials on Wednesday as he looks to sign with a team in free agency.

Former Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray is expected to fly into Philadelphia on Thursday to meet with officials from the Eagles.

It is understood that Murray personally reached out to Eagles coach Chip Kelly on Wednesday, and expressed a desire to play in his spread offense.

A move to Philadelphia would also give Murray the opportunity to play alongside his former Oklahoma teammate and new Eagles quarterback, Sam Bradford.

"Absolutely. I've been trying my hardest [to recruit Murray]," Bradford said, according to ESPN.

"I've called him. I've texted him. I've done everything. We've been in communication. If we can somehow land him, it would be a great pickup. Not only is he a great player, he's a great person. He's a really close friend of mine, too. I think he can really help this ball club."

The Cowboys are reportedly monitoring the free agent's situation, and would still like to re-sign him if possible.
