Trent Cole "very excited" for new season

The Philadelphia Eagles' Trent Cole says that he is excited about the forthcoming NFL season.

Defensive end Trent Cole has said that he is "very excited" about the 2013 NFL season.

The Philadelphia Eagles player is preparing for his ninth season with the team, having been drafted in 2005.

The 30-year-old told the team's official website: "There's a new task. There's a new Philadelphia Eagles. I'm very excited. There's nothing wrong with having change. I'm very excited for this year.

"I've got to prepare my body to be successful at the position. I'm looking forward to it. I'm just looking forward to playing with the team overall.

"I'm a type of guy who shows through my game play and how I carry myself on and off the field. That's just kind of my way of showing other teammates of mine and the new guys who are coming in a way to be successful in this game."

Cole recorded three sacks for the Eagles in 2012, the lowest total of his career.
