Report: Oakland Raiders cut Tyler Wilson

The Oakland Raiders reportedly cut quarterback Tyler Wilson having chosen him in the fourth round of this year's draft.

The Oakland Raiders have reportedly cut quarterback Tyler Wilson less than five months after choosing him in the fourth round of this year's NFL draft.

Wilson had been expected to compete with the likes of Terrelle Pryor and Matt Flynn for the starting quarterback jersey this season, but poor form in pre-season saw him drop below undrafted rookie Matt McGloin in the depth chart.

With those three quarterbacks remaining on the Raiders' roster, Wilson was deemed surplus to requirements by coach Dennis Allen.

The 24-year-old was considered one of the brightest future prospects going into his final year in college football, but a loss of form resulted in him being selected 112th overall in this year's draft.
