De'Anthony Thomas scored the only touchdown of the first half to give the Kansas City Chiefs a 10-3 lead over the Oakland Raiders at half time of their NFL clash this evening.
Both sides struggled on offense in the opening stages, but the Chiefs finally opened the scoring late in the first quarter when Thomas raced down the left touchline to return a punt 81 yards for a touchdown.
Kansas City had another chance to get on the scoreboard in the first quarter, but Cairo Santos pulled his field goal wide of the mark.
Santos made amends for that miss in the second quarter with a 41-yard effort that extended his side's lead to 10 points.
The Raiders finally got on the scoreboard as time expired in the second quarter, however, with Sebastian Janikowski converting a 53-yard field goal.
