The Browns started decently as Jason Campbell moved them downfield, but when he was in the redzone, his side couldn't get the ball in the endzone as he took a sack from Calvin Pace and was forced to settle for a 27-yard field goal from Billy Cundiff.
However, late in the second quarter they did get on the board again. Campbell moved his team seamlessly inside the 20 and this time near the goalline he handed the ball off to running back Edwin Baker, who found a hole and ran in for a five-yard touchdown.
The Jets managed to find some rhythm on offense and moved the ball downfield. Geno Smith fired to David Nelson in the endzone for a five-yard touchdown to drag the home side within three.
Minutes later, Nick Folk drew his side level just before the break as he fired a kick over the posts from 21 yards.
After half time, the teams struggled as defenses began to take over the game in the third quarter as it was a shutout.
However, as soon as the fourth quarter began, the Jets took the lead as Smith led them downfield and found Nelson for the second time of the contest with a five-yard strike on a fade route.
