New York Jets offensive co-ordinator Marty Mornhinweg has insisted that quarterback Geno Smith has to do better along with the rest of the team.
Smith told reporters this week that he has shown flashes of being a "Pro Bowl-calibre quarterback", but Mornhinweg wants more than just flashes of his talent.
"He certainly has shown flashes of playing well," he said, according to ESPN.
"Like I said, we all have to play better. This isn't about flashing or anything. We've got to play better. Everything we do has to be better. That takes hard work, it takes preparation, it takes a certain mentality."
Given the Jets' disappointing season and recent speculation it is unclear as to whether Mornhinweg will still remain in his role ahead of next season.
