The New York Jets have reportedly asked veteran quarterback David Garrard to remain at the club for the 2014 season.
According to the New York Post, the Jets are impressed with Garrad's tutoring of rookie QB Geno Smith and would like him to extend his stay.
Garrard is currently on his second stint at the Jets this season, having initially been released in May before being re-signed two months ago.
The 35-year-old was drafted into the NFL in 2002 with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
