Tajh Boyd: 'Geno Smith is New York Jets offense'

New York Jets quarterback Tajh Boyd says that Geno Smith has been the team's offense during organised team activities.

Tajh Boyd has said that the New York Jets is Geno Smith's team following his first organised team activities with the AFC East side.

The Jets selected Boyd in the sixth round of this year's Draft to provide depth at the quarterback position, with Smith and Michael Vick competing for the starter's job.

The 23-year-old told NFL Network: "Geno has been pretty much... he's been the offense. You know, right now, it's his team. But, I mean, at the end of the day, you want to go out there and do everything that's possible to win.

"If Geno gives us the best chance to win, he's going to start. If Mike gives us the best chance to win, he'll start."

Smith was a first-round pick in last year's Draft, while Vick joined the Jets as a free agent earlier this year.
