The New York Giants have announced that they have placed cornerback Aaron Ross on their injured reserve list.
The 31-year-old played in all four of his side's games this season but he injured his back in Tom Coughlin's team's defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The injury has been deemed so serious that Ross will be forced to miss the rest of the campaign after being place on IR and has been replaced on the roster by fellow defensive back Will Hill.
Coughlin's side are 0-4 going into week five of the season where they will face the Philadelphia Eagles.
