Philadelphia Eagles come from behind to beat New York Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles come from behind twice to beat the New York Giants to move to 2-3 in their season following their NFC East clash.

The Philadelphia Eagles condemned the New York Giants to a 0-5 start to their season as they came from behind twice to beat Tom Coughlin's side.

The Giants looked to put their poor start to the season behind them and that's just what they did on their first drive as Eli Manning moved the ball with ease downfield, driving his team inside the Eagles' 20 before running back David Wilson went over for a touchdown from one-yard out.

However, the Eagles responded with a good spell on offense of their own, including one huge run from quarterback Michael Vick as he evaded the rush of the Giants' defensive line to set up a field goal for his side, which Alex Henery knocked between the posts from 40 yards.

Vick looked in good form and a deep completion to Riley Cooper set his side up in the red zone, but they could not punch the ball into the end zone that forced Henery into knocking a 27-yarder through the posts.

The Eagles finally clicked and took the lead in the game after Vick hit DeSean Jackson on a deep route over the middle of the field for 56 yards, which moved his side inside the five-yard line and LeSean McCoy was able to power into the end zone to get the score.

Henery added two more field goals just before the break to move his side's lead to 12 points.

However, after half time the Giants responded as Manning led them down the field and he found wide receiver Rueben Randle on a slant route, and he ran all the way to the end zone for a 26-yard score.

Manning and Randle combined again minutes later to put the Giants into the lead, this time on a crossing route, and the quarterback did well to loop the ball to the top of the end zone where only the receiver could bring the ball down for the six-yard score.

The Eagles replied immediately as backup quarterback Nick Foles, on the field for the injured Michael Vick, led his team within field goal range and Henery duly kicked a 41-yarder between the posts to restore their lead.

In the fourth quarter the Eagles upped the ante and moved further ahead when Foles delivered a perfect strike to tight end Brent Celek on a corner route and he caught the ball in the end zone for the 25-yard score.

Philadelphia made sure of the win with time running out in the game as Foles threw his second touchdown pass of the game this time to Jackson for a five-yard strike to help his side move to 2-3 in their season.
