Rob Gronkowski increases workload in New England Patriots training camp

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski begins to take part in 11-on-11 drills in training camp in a bid to be ready for the start of the 2014 NFL season.

Rob Gronkowski has stepped up his workload as he continues to recover from surgery to repair two torn knee ligaments.

The New England Patriots tight end was limited at the start of the team's training camp, but was able to take part in some 11-on-11 drills during today's practice.

NFL Media reports that the 25-year-old was able to complete the drills on half to three-quarter speed and that everything appeared to go to plan.

Gronkowski missed the start of last season while recovering from arm and back surgery, before tearing his ACL and MCL in November.
