New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has admitted that his side were not good enough during last night's 24-20 defeat to the Miami Dolphins.
One week after launching a last-gasp comeback to beat the Cleveland Browns, Brady looked like repeating the feat when he gave his side a three-point lead with just over four minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
However, a touchdown from Marcus Thigpen with 1:15 left on the clock secured the victory for the Dolphins, and Brady has acknowledged that his side were not at their best.
"We didn't do a good job in the red area, and didn't do a good job finishing drives. We came up on the short end of the stick. It wasn't a good day. Just couldn't make enough plays," Brady told The AP.
Despite the defeat, the Patriots are still two wins clear at the top of the AFC East with just two matches to play.
