Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has admitted that he was close to tears as he watched his side overturn a 23-point deficit to beat the Dallas Cowboys 37-36 last night.
The Packers trailed 26-3 at the interval but launched a stirring second-half fightback to clinch their second consecutive one-point victory, with Eddie Lacy scoring the match-winning touchdown with just 91 seconds left on the clock.
The result leaves Green Bay still in the hunt for a playoff place in the NFC North, and McCarthy admits that it was an emotional occasion for him.
"It took me everything not to cry. I'm just drained. Just the sheer emotion. It was incredible," McCarthy told The AP.
The Packers remain third in their division but sit just one win behind leaders the Chicago Bears with two matches to play.
