Mike Zimmer: 'Cordarrelle Patterson is improving every day'

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer believes that wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson's foot problem has been improving daily.

Mike Zimmer has said that Cordarrelle Patterson has been "improving every day" in the Minnesota Vikings' training camp.

The wide receiver missed the opening two days of the pre-season camp with a foot injury, but took part in walk-throughs with the team this morning.

The head coach told the St Paul Pioneer Press: "He's improving every day. I saw him do some stuff [Saturday]. I'll be surprised if it's long [that Patterson is out]."

Patterson had 469 receiving yards and four touchdowns during his rookie season.
