Norv Turner: 'Teddy Bridgewater is capable of many different types of throw'

Minnesota Vikings offensive co-ordinator Mike Zimmer says that Teddy Bridgewater's form during training camp has impressed him.

Minnesota Vikings offensive co-ordinator Norv Turner has admitted that he is impressed by the training camp form of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

The first-round Draft pick recently stated that he would be happy to be backup to Matt Cassell for the forthcoming season, although some NFL experts believe that he is pushing for a starting spot.

Turner's words are encouraging for Bridgewater as he bids to become a major part of coach Mike Zimmer's plans.

He told Fox Sports: "One of the things that has been the most impressive to me is that he's been outstanding throwing the ball deep, which some people thought that was going to be an issue.

"I knew he'd be very accurate and I knew he'd make great decisions, quick decisions.

"I think in the six or eight weeks we've had him on the field, I think he's been put in a position where he's had to make most of the throws he would have to make and I think he can make all the throws he needs to make."

Bridgewater signed a four-year rookie deal with the Vikings last month.
