Adrian Peterson focused on moving forward with Minnesota Vikings

Adrian Peterson admits that he is determined to move on with his life and career after returning to practice with the Minnesota Vikings.

Adrian Peterson has revealed that he is focused on moving forward in his career with the Minnesota Vikings after returning to the team.

Peterson missed the majority of the 2014 season after he was suspended by the NFL when he filed a no contest plea of causing reckless or negligent injury to his four-year old son, but was later reinstated by the league after US District Court Judge David Doty overturned their decision.

The 30-year-old was ready to miss the club's organised team activities due to his unhappiness with their handling of the situation, as well as his contract, which prompted an ultimatum from the Vikings to either play for them or retire.

Peterson has now decided to return to the team and is ready to learn from his past mistakes to move forward with his life.

He told reporters: "This past year has been emotional for both parties involved. I've learned a lot from my mistake and I'm moving forward. I'm focused on what's in front of me.

"I'm gonna be absolutely 100% with you. With everything going on in my life during that time, I really didn't know what I wanted.

"I didn't know if I wanted to play somewhere else, if I wanted to retire, and if I wanted to go off, you know, get into track, just change it up, differently, do something different. That's where, you know, receiving advice from my parents and my advisors really played a big role."

The running back has rushed for 10,190 yards and 86 touchdowns in his eight-year NFL career.
