Teddy Bridgewater using videogame to learn Minnesota Vikings playbook

Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater admits that he has been playing videogame Madden to help him learn the team's playbook.

Teddy Bridgewater has revealed that he is using NFL videogame Madden to help him learn the Minnesota Vikings' playbook.

The NFC North side traded up the Draft to pick the quarterback in the first round earlier this year.

He told ESPN: "It helps because you get one more rep than you had in practice, actual practice.

"Any chance you get to take an extra rep or go the extra step, extra mile, it's going to be very beneficial transferring it to the field."

Bridgewater is expected to compete with Matt Cassel to be the team's starting quarterback for the 2014 NFL season.
