Half-Time Report: Cincinnati Bengals in control over Minnesota Vikings

The Cincinnati Bengals take a comfortable 28-7 lead into the halfway stage of their NFL match against the Minnesota Vikings this evening.

The Cincinnati Bengals have taken a commanding 28-7 lead into half time of their NFL match against the Minnesota Vikings this evening.

The Vikings got off to a poor start as quarterback Matt Cassel fumbled the ball early on, allowing the Bengals to retrieve it and move to the four-yard line. From there, BenJarvus Green-Ellis found a gap in the defense to wriggle through for the opening touchdown.

The visitors were soon back level, however, as Cassel atoned for his earlier error with a deep pass on the run to a wide-open Jarius Wright after Jermaine Gresham had fumbled the ball for the Bengals.

The Bengals regained the lead late in the first quarter when AJ Green caught Andy Dalton's pass for a 29-yard score.

The hosts were given another helping hand by Cassel to extend their advantage as his pass was picked off by Vincent Rey, who returned it 25 yards for an interception touchdown.

The Bengals moved even further ahead late in the second quarter when Dalton's pass up the middle was caught by Gresham for a 16-yard score.
