Miami Dolphins sign Josh Freeman

Josh Freeman signs a deal with the Miami Dolphins, who become his third team in his last three seasons in the NFL.

The Miami Dolphins have reached an agreement with quarterback Josh Freeman, although details of his deal have not been disclosed.

Freeman is a former 2009 first-round Draft pick, and will join his new team as the third-choice signal caller behind Ryan Tannehill and Matt Moore.

Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey was part of the front office with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that selected Freeman with the number 17 overall pick in the 2009 Draft.

However, the 27-year-old sat out the entire season last year after a brief stint with the Minnesota Vikings in 2013.

The Dolphins will be the third team in three seasons for Freeman, who has thrown for 13,724 yards, 80 touchdowns and 67 interceptions through his career.
