The Miami Dolphins have announced that they have released wide receiver Brandon Gibson, ending his two-year spell at the club.
The news comes just hours after the Dolphins parted company with fellow wideout Brian Hartline as the team will save up to $6.4m [£4.1m] against the salary cap after an underwhelming 2014 campaign in which Joe Philbin's men missed out on the playoffs.
"We want to thank Brian and Brandon for their contributions to the organisation," Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey told the club's official website. "We wish them the best going forward."
Gibson recorded 29 receptions for 295 yards and a touchdown in the 2014 season.
