Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Gibson has revealed that he is gradually recovering from his torn patella tendon that ended his 2013 season.
The 26-year-old played just eight games for the club last season before he sustained the injury in the Dolphins' defeat to the New England Patriots, which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
Gibson told ESPN: "The important thing is to not overstress your patella tendon, It's involved in everything you do, really. It connects a lot, your knee and your quad. So I basically was on bed rest for a while, a couple months.
"The only thing I was doing was just rehabbing and little bit of upper-body work. You don't want to cause too much heavy stress on your knee, but I'm slowly getting into things."
Gibson recorded 30 receptions for 326 yards along with three touchdowns in the 2013 season.
