Report: Miami Dolphins want Matt Moore to push Ryan Tannehill

Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin reportedly wants Matt Moore to push Ryan Tannehill for the starting quarterback job in 2014.

Joe Philbin has reportedly said that he will look to push Ryan Tannehill more as the quarterback prepares for his third season in the NFL.

The 25-year-old was named starting quarterback for the AFC East side ahead of Matt Moore during his rookie season, with Moore remaining his backup since.

A source close to the Dolphins' head coach told CBS: "He definitely wants to push Tannehill more, and if he doesn't see improvement he said he might go to Moore at some point. He definitely has a lot of faith in Moore, and they're paying him a lot of money."

Tannehill completed 3,913 passing yards and 24 touchdown passes in 2013, but was sacked 58 times during the regular season.
