Richie Incognito's lawyer: NFL report is "replete with errors"

The lawyer of Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito states that the NFL report into the bullying scandal at the club is "replete with errors".

The lawyer of Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito believes that the NFL report into the bullying scandal at the Dolphins was "replete with errors".

Independent investigator Ted Wells released his long-awaited report into the incident at the club, where offensive tackle Jonathan Martin walked out of the Dolphins' training facility in October.

His report concluded that Martin was the subject of verbal abuse from Incognito along with John Jerry and Mike Pouncey, although their intentions were not to drive him away from the team.

Mark Schamel said in a statement to ProFootballTalk.com: "Mr Wells's NFL report is replete with errors. The facts do not support a conclusion that Jonathan Martin's mental health, drug use, or on-field performance issues were related to the treatment by his teammates.

"It is disappointing that Mr Wells would have gotten it so wrong, but [it is] not surprising. The truth, as reported by the Dolphins players and as shown by the evidence, is that Jonathan Martin was never bullied by Richie Incognito or any member of the Dolphins offensive line.

"We are analysing the entire report and will release a thorough analysis as soon as it is ready."

Incognito was suspended by the Dolphins as a result of the incident.
