Chuck Pagano has said that he is proud of the Indianapolis Colts, despite their loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs yesterday.
The Colts bounced back from 2011, when they finished the season with the worst record in the league, to secure a wildcard place in the post-season in 2012.
The head coach told Colts Radio: "This team has not quit. There is a locker room of great-character guys, great people and great human beings.
"They gave it their all. What they overcame this year, the circumstances they overcame, was just incredible. It's a testament to our organisation, and I'm so proud of those guys."
Pagano missed much of the season to receive treatment for leukemia, while offensive coordinator Bruce Arians was unable to attend the playoff game after being hospitalised with flu.
The Colts finished the regular season with 11 wins and five losses.
