The Indianapolis Colts have said that they will do all they can to keep hold of Bruce Arians.
The offensive coordinator is being linked with a number of head coach vacancies in the NFL, including the Chicago Bears, who have asked permission to interview Arians after sacking Lovie Smith.
General manager Ryan Grigson told NFL AM: "We would try to do whatever we could to keep Bruce, but again, he's his own man and will make his own decisions.
"It's kind of a great situation we have here. It's pure speculation, but we'd love to have him back."
Arians filled in as head coach for much of the season while Chuck Pagano received treatment for leukaemia, guiding the Colts to the playoffs.
The Colts face the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs on Sunday.
