NFL reveals three 2016 London fixtures

The Jacksonville Jaguars, St Louis Rams and Cincinnati Bengals are among the six NFL teams that will play in London next October.

The NFL has confirmed the identity of the teams that will play three matches in London's International Series next October.

First up is an AFC South Division encounter between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Indianapolis Colts at Wembley on Sunday, October 2.

Three weeks later Twickenham will host the St Louis Rams, but their opponent is not currently known. They will take on the NFC East team that finishes in the same spot in the standings as the Rams in the NFC West based on the NFL's scheduling formula.

Then, on October 30, the action will return to Wembley as the Cincinnati Bengals come up against the Washington Redskins.

"The passion our UK fans have shown for the NFL is overwhelming. We are very appreciative of the strong and growing fan support, not only for the games, but for all of the related NFL events we host in the UK throughout the year," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.

"We look forward to welcoming new fans to their first NFL game in 2016 and welcoming back thousands of others that are helping our sport grow to new levels of popularity in London and beyond."

At the conclusion of the 2016 season, either 23 or 24 teams will have played in London since the inception of the International Series in 2007.
