Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney will begin his side's training camp on the physically unable to perform list.
The 22-year-old missed the majority of the 2014 season due to a knee injury, which required microfracture surgery to repair in December.
Clowney had made strides in his recovery during the off-season, but the AFC South side have opted to be cautious by placing him on the PUP list for the start of their camp.
The linebacker was selected with the first overall pick in the 2014 Draft, and recorded seven tackles in his rookie season.
