Danieal Manning confirms retirement from NFL after nine-year career

Defensive back Danieal Manning confirms his retirement from the NFL after nine seasons in the league with the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans.

Danieal Manning has announced that he has retired from the NFL after a nine-year career.

The 32-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2006 Draft by the Chicago Bears and enjoyed five seasons with the NFC North side, reaching the Super Bowl in his rookie campaign.

Manning joined the Houston Texans in the 2011 season and played for four seasons before confirming his decision to end his career in an appearance on SportsRadio 610.

The safety recorded 549 tackles, four sacks and 11 interceptions in his nine years in the league.
