Half-Time Report: Green Bay Packers hold 21-17 half-time lead over Chicago Bears

The Green Bay Packers hold a slender 21-17 half-time lead over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Sunday's NFL clash.

The Green Bay Packers are holding on to a slender 21-17 half-time lead over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in the NFL.

The Bears were the quickest side out of the traps as they landed the first points of the afternoon from 15 plays, as Jay Cutler picked out Brandon Marshall with a six-yard pass to score the first touchdown, allowing Robbie Gould's kick to make it 7-0.

The Packers were not out of the running for long though as Eddie Lacy made a two-yard rush into the endzone to push things towards an equal standing, while a composed Mason Crosby made it 7-7 with the kick.

Green Bay pushed on in the second quarter with a composed throw from Aaron Rodgers finding Jordy Nelson from three-yards, with the extra point putting the Packers ahead on 14-7, after Robbie Gould had initially opened the second lot of 15 with a field goal for Chicago.

The points didn't stop there though, as the Bears moved into a slender lead thanks to some accurate throwing from Cutler, who found Alshon Jeffery from eight yards to leave the scores at 17-14.

An enterprising first half came to an end with the Packers on top however, as Randall Cobb caught hold of another great pass from Rodgers, who dispatched an effort from 22 yards, putting the scores at 21-17 going into the interval.
