NFL legend LaDainian Tomlinson has suggested that Reggie Bush could be key to improving the offensive abilities of the Detroit Lions.
The Lions suffered this season with Bush on the receiving end of an ankle injury, meaning that the running back notched less than 300 yards rushing for just the second time in his career.
"I think [it's] Reggie. How good that team can be is dependent on how much Reggie is able to stay healthy," said Tomlinson, according to the Detroit Free Press.
"I think Joique [Bell] is an excellent running back, but I do think they need a change-of-pace guy with Joique.
"A guy that can catch it out of the backfield, a guy that can run on the perimeter a little bit faster around that corner. But their running game, I think they need a two-back system."
Despite his injuries, Bush still managed to make 297 yards on the ground and a further 253 as a receiver.
