Reggie Bush: Matthew Stafford ready for "big year" with Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush believes that quarterback Matthew Stafford will have a "big year" with the team in 2014.

Reggie Bush has said that Matthew Stafford is ready for a "big year" with the Detroit Lions in the 2014 NFL season.

The Lions were in the hunt in the NFC North in the first half of last season, but finished with a 2-6 record to miss out on a place in the playoffs.

The running back told NFL Media: "There is not a lot Matt can't do. I think coach [Joe] Lombardi's gonna be really good for him. A guy who coached for a great quarterback Drew Brees and under Sean Payton and they've done a lot of great things down there in New Orleans and I was part of that. I think it's going to be a great offense for Matt and it's gonna be a big year for him."

Stafford completed 4,650 passing yards and 29 touchdown passes in 2013.
