Shane Ray promises Denver Broncos no issues

Denver Broncos star Shane Ray insists that he will have no issues after being selected by the franchise in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Denver Broncos star Shane Ray has assured executive vice-president John Elway that he will not have any issues now that he has joined the franchise.

Ray slipped to the number 23 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, and continued to face questions after being charged with possession of marijuana.

"I guaranteed Mr Elway that I will not have any issues," Ray told reporters.

"As I said before, I'm not a person who has character issues at all."

The 21-year-old will start his NFL career in the league's substance abuse program, and will be regularly tested for two years.

The defensive end added that he wants to repay the faith the Broncos have shown in him, after they traded up to acquire him.
