Peyton Manning: 'Denver Broncos can't take winning for granted'

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning warns his side that they cannot take winning for granted.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has warned his side that they cannot take winning for granted having made an unbeaten start to the season.

The Broncos have been in scintillating form so far this campaign, scoring more points in their opening six games than any other NFL side have ever managed at the same stage of the season.

However, they fell short of expectations last night when they beat the winless Jacksonville Jaguars by only 16 points, and Manning insists that every match this season will be tough to win no matter how well his side have been playing.

"Sometimes, you score a lot of points and people take it for granted," Manning told The AP.

"Even people in your own building can take it for granted. It's not easy to win football games. I learned a long time ago, don't take winning for granted."

Denver have now won 17 regular season matches in a row stretching back to last year, although they remain tied at the top of the AFC West with the Kansas City Chiefs, who have also made a perfect start to the current campaign.
