An application has been submitted to bring the Super Bowl to the Denver Broncos' Mile High Stadium.

Denver has applied to host a future Super Bowl.

The Denver Broncos and Visit Denver jointly submitted an application to the NFL's Super Bowl Advisory Committee in August, according to The Denver Post.

The application is for the Super Bowl to take place at the Mile High Stadium in 2018, 2019 or 2020.

The NFL is due to announce which cities will be invited to make an official bid next year.

The season's Super Bowl is being held at the Superdome, the home of the New Orleans Saints.
