Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will not be risked in his side's clash in the Hall of Fame game against the Miami Dolphins, according to a report.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will reportedly miss his side's clash with the Miami Dolphins in the Hall of Fame game on Sunday.

The 33-year-old underwent surgery during the off-season to remove a cyst from his back, but he has not missed a practice during his side's training camp.

Cowboys' head coach Jason Garrett has decided not to risk his quarterback in the pre-season opener, with four other games available to bring Romo up to speed before the regular season starts, reports ESPNDallas.com.

Romo enjoyed a strong showing in the 2012 season, throwing 28 touchdowns.
