Dallas Cowboys sign defensive tackle Drake Nevis

The Dallas Cowboys move to sign free-agent defensive tackle Drake Nevis following an injury to lineman Anthony Spencer.

The Dallas Cowboys have completed a deal to sign free-agent defensive tackle Drake Nevis.

Jason Garrett's side were in need of depth along their defensive line after Anthony Spencer injured his knee, which could leave him out for the rest of the season.

Nevis was released by the Indianapolis Colts in pre-season and will join up with his new teammates ahead of their clash against the San Diego Chargers this week.

The 24-year-old was drafted in the third round of the 2011 Draft by the Colts and made 35 tackles and one sack in his two seasons with the club.
