Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has said that preliminary talks about a contract extension with the team will not distract his preparations for next season.
Bryant is seen as a key component in the development of Dallas, with the player already earning $1.78m (£1m) in the final year of his current rookie deal.
"It's not a distraction," said Bryant, according to the NFL's official website
"Like I said before, the work that I put in, it will speak for itself; in the weight room, on the field and all of that.
"I go out for what's deserving and I'm just going to keep going out there working, grinding and let it come to me."
It is expected that Bryant's new contract may see him earn in excess of $12m (£7m) each year.
