Dan Bailey keen to stay with Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey hopes that he can agree a new contract with the team ahead of the 2014 NFL season.

Dan Bailey has said that he would like to sign a new contract with the Dallas Cowboys.

The kicker, who has been with the NFC East side since 2011, is set to become a restricted free agent ahead of the 2014 NFL season.

The 25-year-old told the team's website: "It's been a great first three years here and I think it's a great place to kick. It's obviously a first-class organisation, so I can't really see any negatives to playing here.

"So yeah, I'd love to stay here if I could. We'll just kind of see what happens. Hopefully I'll be able to stick around a little longer.

"My goal is just to play the best I can every year and hopefully string a bunch of good years together. Whatever happens beyond that is out of my control. All I can control is what I can do."

Bailey kicked the longest field goal of his career in 2013, making a 53-yard attempt.
