Jason Garrett proud of Dallas Cowboys despite defeat

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett insists that he is proud of his team despite seeing them miss out on the playoffs on the final day for a third year in a row.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has insisted that he is proud of his team despite seeing them miss out on the playoffs on the final day of the regular season for a third year in a row.

The Cowboys were beaten 24-22 by the Philadelphia Eagles in a straight shootout for the playoff spot in the NFC East last night to make it three 8-8 campaigns in a row for Garrett.

Despite missing out in heartbreaking fashion yet again, Garrett was full of praise for the way his side never gave up throughout the match.

"You feel a tremendous sense of pride about how the team played, how they fought, how they scratched, how they clawed, how they battled. But having said that, we didn't get the job done," Garrett told The AP.

Meanwhile, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has reiterated his support for Garrett despite not having made the playoffs so far in his tenure.
