Cleveland Browns overturn 25-point deficit to beat Tennessee Titans

The Cleveland Browns come from 28-3 down to beat the Tennessee Titans 29-28 in the NFL.

Jake Locker got the Titans off to a strong start, connecting with Kendall Wright for a first-quarter touchdown, before sprinting for the end zone himself at the start of the second to double their lead.

The quarterback had to leave the field for a concussion evaluations, and after being cleared to return was forced out of the game with an arm injury.

Backup Charlie Whitehurst made an immediate impact though, finding Wright with a deep pass on his first play to increase Tennessee's advantage, before another long ball was hauled in by Justin Hunter.

The Browns managed to get a touchdown back just before the break, as Brian Hoyer led a quick drive to find tight end Jim Dray, leaving them 18 points down.

With only a Billy Cundiff field goal in the third, the Titans' punter was tackled in the end zone in the fourth quarter, giving the Browns a safety, before Hoyer completed a deep throw to Travis Benjamin, slashing Tennessee's lead to just six points.

Hoyer had the ball again with just over a minute remaining, and dodged a sack attempt to complete another touchdown pass to Benjamin, giving the Browns the lead for the first time in the game.

Whitehurst tried a deep pass to Wright in the final seconds, but the wide receiver could not complete the pass, giving the Browns the unlikely win.

The result leaves the Browns 2-2 on the season, while the Titans slip to 1-4.
