Chicago Bears edge out New York Jets at the MetLife Stadium

Chicago Bears beat the New York Jets 27-19 at the MetLife Stadium in the NFL.

The Chicago Bears have edged out the New York Jets to win 27-19 at the MetLife Stadium in the NFL.

Ryan Mundy scored the first touchdown of the evening after just 32 seconds, before Martellus Bennett went over the line after five minutes.

Nick Folk was in good form for the Jets and Jeremy Kerley grabbed the home side's first touchdown 12 minutes into the second quarter.

Kerley almost claimed his second touchdown for the New York outfit, but he had strayed out of bounds after catching Geno Smith's 51-yard pass.

Folk continued his accuracy with his kicks with a field goal in each of the final two quarters, but Bennett claimed his second touchdown in the third, after another pass from Jay Cutler.
