Chicago Bears come from behind to beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Chicago Bears come from 10 points down to secure a 21-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Chicago Bears overturned a 10-point half-time deficit to secure a 21-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Soldier Field in the NFL this evening.

Josh McCown, who was facing the team that he played for last season, was intercepted early on while looking deep downfield for a first-quarter score.

Jay Cutler also came under pressure early on as a heavy hit on the Bears quarterback forced the ball loose, letting Gerald McCoy steal possession back for the visitors.

Tampa Bay capitalised on the turnover, with McCown finding rookie wide receiver Mike Evans on the edge of the endzone to open the scoring.

The home side had more urgency in their offense after the break, and soon had a touchdown of their own when Martellus Bennett hauled in a big catch before Alshon Jeffery took it in.

Matt Forte also found his way into the endzone a couple of drives later, running in from 12 yards out to give the Bears the lead for the first time.

The running back added his second of the game just over a minute later, powering over from just a yard out to open up an 11-point advantage.

Despite slipping behind, the Buccaneers kept pushing, with Jackson making several acrobatic catches to get the team back in Chicago territory, leaving Patrick Murray with a short field goal to give them hope.

The Bears managed to keep hold of the ball late on though, running down the clock to allow them to clinch the victory.

The result leaves the team third in the NFC North with a 5-6 record, while the Buccaneers stay bottom in their division with just two wins so far this year.
