Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith expects quarterback Jay Cutler to be fine to play the Green Bay Packers this weekend.

Lovie Smith has said that Jay Cutler should be fit to face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, despite sustaining neck and knee injuries in the last week.

The Chicago Bears quarterback was unable to finish their game against the Minnesota Vikings after taking hits from Everson Griffen and Jared Allen, causing him to have problems with his neck.

However, the Bears have also listed a knee problem on their injury report, which is understood to be a medial collateral ligament sprain.

The head coach told the Chicago Tribune: "None at all, he practised without any trouble at all. He should be fine."

The Bears need to beat their NFC North rivals this week to keep their hopes of winning the division alive.
