Matt Forte: 'Brandon Marshall didn't hold himself accountable'

Chicago Bears star Matt Forte hits back at former teammate Brandon Marshall over his comments about Jay Cutler.

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte has hit back at Brandon Marshall after his comments about former teammate Jay Cutler.

Marshall suggested last week that he was the only person at the organisation that held his former quarterback accountable.

However, Forte disagrees with his assessment and revealed that there was friction between the receiver and others within the organisation.

"I don't think that was the case where everyone was held accountable [last year]. I don't see how he can say that," Forte said on The Rich Eisen Show.

"Sometimes Brandon didn't hold himself accountable."

Marshall was traded to the New York Jets this summer, while Cutler shrugged off his comments in a separate interview.
