Captain Munnerlyn has said that the San Francisco 49ers do not respect the Carolina Panthers.
The NFC West side lost to the Panthers during the regular season and will face them again in the playoffs this weekend.
The cornerback told reporters: "When we beat those guys the first time they were like, 'We beat ourselves. Carolina didn't do anything. We made mistakes', because they don't respect us. I feel like they don't respect us at all.
"We went on the road and beat the defending NFC champs. That was a huge win. I don't care how anybody else looks at it. We went in their house and got the win, and it kind of changed our season. That was a key victory."
Munnerlyn made 73 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions during the regular season.
