Buffalo Bills eye replacements for CJ Spiller

Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley hints at the franchise preparing for the exit of CJ Spiller.

The Buffalo Bills are preparing for the loss of CJ Spiller in free agency next month, and have begun the process of identifying replacements.

Spiller has been linked with a move to the New York Jets when the free agency market opens in March, and so the Bills are monitoring running backs at the NFL scouting combine.

"There's going to be some work that has to be done," general manager Doug Whaley said, NFL.com reports.

Whaley revealed that the Bills could look high in the Draft for a young running back to work alongside Fred Jackson, Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown.

"It's deep. It's one of those classes that we're excited about. In the draft altogether, there's some value in rounds two to five that you're going to get some guys who will make an impact in this league," he added.

It is also reported that new head coach Rex Ryan may oversee some roster turnover ahead of next season which could bring in a new back.
